for the faithless

"Id rather die on my feet, then live forever on my knees...."

Like darkness' fine sky diamonds;
removed, watchful, and wished upon,
he came for His corrupted sons,
he came...for hope, death undone.

And distressed by gravity's trial,
his tears fell like mourning stars...
for systems of exponential guile,
had taken us away... so very far.

Sanctuary he cried; excelling truth;
principles science has yet to pen.
For the physics of sin held no proof,
unmeasured outcomes erasing men.

And so,
we brandish our free will blindly,
unwilling to yield our meager hours.
privileged into destruction kindly,
we die triumphantly, no need of higher powers.

But...can you blame a modern man?
For I have known many false teachers.
seen His book made a trick, a sham,
and pitied the future of those preachers.

In His name their hands are stained red,
for his glory their traditions erase His name.
For control, power, they take politics to bed,
and devise out trickery without shame.

How far His words have crumbled away,
heart's numbed, intentions betrayed.
till no council is taken, all made gray,
no room for the God to whom we prayed.

And like darkness' midnight jewels,
we have found no faith
in the day.
easier to find friendship with fools;
no judgement, no rules, just prey.

How we fear death. How we despair at the dissatisfaction of this world. At problems we cannot fix. Ive often wondered what possible reasoning a super intelligent angel could possibly have to disobey his creator and choose death...to choose opposition to his existence... and then further spread his disobedience by infecting mankind with lies!

Who has the right to rule? Just because He is the creator and has the might to rule, does that give him the right? Not the ability, but the right. For God claims to be holy and love.

" We have no need of God. Religion has only caused hate crimes and problems throughout human history."

And for so long we have ruled ourselves on this planet. But with every devising of government, with every rising empire, there is only a transient attainment. Often with the result of such suffering and tragedy...

Man cannot live without God....perhaps we know that now...

Conclusively proven in the most faithless way possible, we had to know for ourselves. And yet there are those that would rather live apart from the source of all life if it means they can do it their way.

"Id rather die on my feet, then live forever on my knees...."
