looks like goodbye
I took a moment of quiet infancy.
Eyes luminously searching,
devoid of shame or guile.
Trying desperately to save the images,
That had become so integral
To my identity...
I paused in the interim of our storm.
At the crossroads of two resolutions,
I made my choice with tragedy
firmly grasped between my fingers.
As a simple man,
profoundly burdened with purpose and principle,
I felt my feet leaving the kitchen
long before my heart did.
This is beautiful...it reached in a gave my heart a squeeze...
