Constancy of the Sea
By waters edge we watch the reflections,
Rippled with consequence beyond our time.
Little circles that trace the connections,
Between angels blessings and the devil's crime.
We are teardrops in a grand melody of water,
Some frozen solid and others free to soar.
But mother nature is deaf to all we taught her,
She has no place for her dew drops anymore.
In passion and presence we flow passed each other,
Never daring to look into the oceans beneath.
Timid and tempest bonded as sister to brother,
We are at war with ourselves with fire and wreath.
Harmony has never known so many hunger games,
For the sons of men have become hungry for death.
Peace drafted from the sea with each naming of names,
Till nothing remains but a final goodbye breath.
